Online Poker Music Video - Breaker
Online Poker, but with a twist... The idea was to make online poker more interesting to watch, as i've not seen any online poker movies get video editing treatment really (voice over is as advanced as it gets) and I was curious to see what it'd be like. It was also an experiment to try mix poker with something and still have some cohesion (Metroid came to mind first, it could have anything). This is only the third movie i've ever done, and the first one not in moviemaker. Hopefully more to come. Enjoy! Notes: The video moves at a somewhat fast pace, and reading certain parts (the tutorial especially) is near impossible, so consider it replay value, or pause it :) Hands weren't selected based on their incredible pots, amazing plays or ultra stakes (most of the movie is quite low stakes). It was more about what could be done with the hands. Youtube's convertor has desynced it a little bit, you probobly wouldn't have noticed on most bits if I hadn't said, but there we go.

The Great Poker Chase
A silent film comedy that looks like an actual film from the 1920's . Complete with musical accompanyment and laughter from it's premiere showing at Fire Escape's Silent Film Festival on May 14, 2005. More Below: The Great Poker Chase began as a "wouldn't it be cool?" idea that was destined to go nowhere. Unfortunatley Pedro and Ramiro Castro, students at Illinois-Chicago and University of Chicago respectively, shared their idea with their sketch comedy group Big Dog Eat Child and Mike Larocco of Fire Ecape Films. Working with $400 dollars, an old bolex camera and 6 other ruffians from the Southwest Suburbs of Chicago, Big Dog Eat Child and Fire Escape Films produced an a film akin to the Keystone Kops silent film comedies. The piece was shot on 16mm film and edited on a moviola. Very little editing was done digitally. BDEC's URL is http://www.bigdogeatchild.com
